While most pay good money to attain the token plant we all love, a handful of lucky Californians were able to snatch as much weed as they could hold after a clumsy smuggler wrecked his delivery truck throwing large bags full of fresh, green, sticky nugs out into the streets.
San Jose police say a truck carrying large bags of marijuana flipped over onto it’s side earlier today near Oakridge mall, sending it’s contents out into the street and it’s driver fleeing the scene on foot.
According to a brief report on mercurynews.com, several motorists and pedestrians who happened to be passing through the area ran out and grabbed most of the marijuana bags and took off before police arrived.
Police officers removed the remaining bags of marijuana as well as a loaded handgun left behind by the driver. Police are currently looking for the driver and those who got to the weed first.
There were no reported injuries or any other vehicles involved in the accident.
As the cops and local government spend massive amounts of time and other resources trying to figure out who dared to transport the dried flowers of the cannabis plant through their town, the vast majority of Californians will continue to consume the natural herb. The war on drugs is a war on freedom of choice and should not be tolerated.
